MTES Application

The Fall 2024 MTES application is open. 

It's important to submit a completed application, which includes official transcripts from every institution you've attended, including your current one. If you fail to submit official transcripts your application will be denied. 

Before you begin to apply, please be sure you meet the following criteria:

Eligibility

  • Be a resident of the State of Florida.
  • Be a member of one of the following racial groups: African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American/Pacific Islander, or American Indian/Alaskan Native.
  • Be admitted and enrolled as a full-time student in a state-approved teacher education program at any of FFMT's participating universities/colleges.
  • Be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have not earned a baccalaureate degree in Education. You may have earned a baccalaureate degree in a field outside of Education. Graduate students must be enrolled in a program that leads to initial teacher certification.
  • Have earned 60 credit hours or an AA degree.
  • Have not exceeded 18 credit hours of upper-division education courses.

If you meet the criteria above, please continue to the application below. You are required to write an essay and submit official transcripts from each institution you've attended.  The essay will be required to complete the application as it must be uploaded when you're completing the application. 

Your official transcripts must be submitted to FFMT headquarters from the Registrar's Office of each institution you've attended. FFMT does not accept transcripts sent directly from applicants. Transcripts can be mailed to the address below or can be sent electronically from the Registrar's Office to k.stillwell@ufl.eduFFMT does not accept transcripts emailed directly from applicants

If you fail to submit the essay and official transcripts on time, your application will be considered incomplete and automatically denied.
